Meridiana Wine Estate – Sunday Tour 3

The winery tours shall start from the Meeting Point at the MFCC North Entrance during the Malta AgriFair 2024. The tour guides shall walk you out to the wine estate just outside of MFCC where you will be taken on an informative journey around the Meridiana Wine Estate where you can discover the exciting world of local wine making. The entrance fee is €3, children under 12 and adults above 60 enter for free. The guests will be introduced to Meridiana Wine Estate, the first steps, grape varieties cultivated, the type and quantity of wine produced, and much more. Following the introduction guests will be guided for a short walk around the vineyard, during which guests will be able to see the vines up and close while also getting information about viticulture practices. The tour will then proceed indoors to the main winery room where the wine production process will be explained briefly and guests will be able to see the various equipment used in wine production. Finally guests will visit the underground cellars, where Meridiana age their red wines in oak barriques. At the end of the visit guests can proceed to the terraces to have a look at the estate view. Optional wine tasting will be available on both days.
